WWE Reaches Out To More Former Talent About Returning To The Company
WWE continues to reach out to former
talent about returning to help fill out
the rosters. As first reported earlier by
Pro Wrestling Sheet, Jinder Mahal was
one of the names that WWE has talked
with. Multiple sources told us that MVP
and Shelton Benjamin have agreed to
a deal. We were also told that WWE has
shown interest in Melina but, as of last
word, no deal has been reached yet
with her.
For those that have asked about Kurt
Angle, he is not taking additional
independent bookings this year. He is
taking time to heal up from his knee
issues and the feeling from his
management is that he still expects
for something to pan out with WWE
next year.
In regards to the stories going around
about Jeff Hardy, he is open to a return
to WWE but he is still on the last year
of his TNA contract. His contract
expires on February 28, 2017 so that
would, in theory, be perfect timing for
a return during WrestleMania season.
One story making the rounds within
WWE is that some of the names that
they have reached out to have turned
down WWE because they were offering
low-level deals to some names. That’s
the reason why Carlito turned down
their initial offer to return last year.
All signings are not official until the
standard medical exams are completed
in Pittsburgh and the talent is being
told to keep things quiet

Jinder Mahal Reportedly In Talks To Return To WWE
Former WWE star Jinder Mahal, 30, is
being considered for a possible return
to WWE. The news was reported by Pro
Wrestling Sheet.
Multiple sources tell Ryan Satin that
Jinder had been talking with WWE
about returning so he could help fill
out the rosters, although both sides
have not had talks for several weeks.
WWE’s talent depth issues are obvious
so it would only help the company if
they brought back some former talent
that could still go in the ring. Dave
Meltzer broke the news several weeks
ago on WWE reaching out to several
former stars about returning. Carlito,
Brian Myers, MVP, and Stevie Richards
were some of the other names that
were contacted.
Mahal was spotted backstage at the
TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view
several weeks ago but it doesn’t look
like a deal was made. In the meantime,
Mahal continues to work on the
independent circuit. He’s working for
Lucha Elite on 6/23, All-Star Wrestling
in Vancouver on 6/24 and Calgary on
6/25.
Mahal last worked for WWE in 2014. He
and Drew McIntyre were part of the
3MB faction before they were released.

WWE Bringing Back Squash Matches?
There has been talk about doing
squash matches on TV. Dave Meltzer
reports that the idea is that the squash
matches would be a better way to get
new talent over. It’s something that
has been talked about but, as you
know by now, ideas change daily.
Squash matches were a staple of WWE
programming in the 80s and 90s. In
fact, most WWE programs featured
squash matches. The syndicated
shows, WWE Superstars & Wrestling
Challenge, rarely featured matches
between top stars because the idea
was that you wanted to hold off the
big matches for pay-per-views or the
occasional Saturday Night’s Main Event
special on NBC.
NXT has been doing squash matches.
Patrick Clark was used in the jobber
role on this week’s NXT. He lost to
Austin Aries. It makes sense because
they are building Aries for a match
with No Way Jose. Clark is losing
matches now but they can always
begin his push once they have a
storyline ready for him.
If they push forward with the squash
matches on the main roster, then they
would likely use some returning
veterans. Dave Meltzer wrote several
weeks ago that WWE wanted to bring
back some former stars so that they
could help get over some of the new
talent. They’ve done this before. In
2002, WWE signed Goldust and “Mr.
Perfect” Curt Hennig so that they
could help get the younger talent
over. Hennig lost most of his matches
on WWE TV during that period.

Brandi Rhodes Comments On Her WWE Departure
Former WWE announcer Brandi Rhodes
recently spoke with Chris Featherstone
of FOX Sports. During the interview,
Rhodes talked about her WWE
departure and more. Here are the
highlights.
On the WWE schedule: “I don’t think
you ever really get used to that degree
of travel, because it’s pretty
unpredictable,” Brandi said. “Some
weeks, you get to be home for one day.
Some weeks you get to be home for
three days. You really don’t know
except for kind of the week-to-week.
So, it’s kind of a scattered lifestyle. I
wasn’t a big fan of flying. I’ve never
been a big fan of flying. Having to jump
right in and fly so much, so many
flights a week. If you think about it, it’s
at least two flights a week, mostly
three or four. It’s a lot of get up and go,
and not a lot of sleep. For me, it was
quite taxing.”
On her WWE departure: “Here’s the
kicker. I was already leaving before he
left, so it wasn’t a tough decision at
all,” she said. “The only thing that
changed in me leaving was I just asked
for it to be pushed up one month, and
that was it. I was already leaving, and
had not let them know yet. But, about
three weeks out, I let them know I was
not interested in re-signing. Him
leaving quickly as he did and being
granted his release fairly quickly just
made it easier for me to say I’m ready
to move on.”

WWE NXT Results – 7/20/16
NXT results: Did Bayley spoil Nia’s NXT
sendoff?
Several Superstars are leaving NXT
behind for Raw and SmackDown Live
following the WWE Draft, including Nia
Jax. But before the towering Nia could
leave, Bayley wanted one last chance
at payback. Did Bayley ruin Nia’s
farewell?
NXT Champion Samoa Joe def. Rhyno
(Non-Title Match)
Both NXT Champion Samoa Joe and
Rhyno deliver their offense with the
same brute force that you would
expect from near-300 pound athletes.
Neither of these men will be confused
with any of the competitors in WWE
Network’s Cruiserweight Classic, as
both Superstars are known to throw
their weight around inside the squared
circle. So, when these rivals went
head-to-head, it was bound to be a
hard-hitting collision.
Despite standing across the ring from a
very determined Man Beast, the
titleholder showed no reluctance to
engage in a fight. Ultimately, Joe
prevented Rhyno from ever delivering
his devastating Gore finisher, as the
champion locked in the Coquina Clutch
for the submission victory.
The Authors of Pain def. American
Alpha
Before American Alpha could even
make it to the ring, The Authors of
Pain blindsided the tag team,
unleashing a vicious assault. The
mysterious monsters then strode to
the squared circle with WWE Hall of
Famer Paul Ellering as General
Manager William Regal and officials
checked in on Jason Jordan & Chad
Gable.
Fearlessly, but perhaps recklessly, the
former NXT Tag Team Champions got
back up and charged their monstrous
rivals, sending them from the ring.
Despite the setback, a calm and
collected Ellering ordered his
behemoths back into the squared
circle as the referee rang the bell to
finally start the match.
Amid their heated battle, Jordan &
Gable somehow managed to fight their
way back, suplexing their larger foes
around the ring. Unfortunately for the
athletic duo, their momentum was
forcefully shut down after The
Authors of Pain delivered a vicious
clothesline for the victory. With
American Alpha getting drafted to
SmackDown Live Tuesday night in the
2016 WWE Draft, it seems their
impressive NXT run has ended in
defeat.
Austin Aries def. Patrick Clark
Patrick Clark displayed some of the
athleticism that he showed off during
WWE Tough Enough, but ultimately
the young competitor was
overwhelmed by a focused and
determined Austin Aries. “The
Greatest Man That Ever Lived” locked
in the Last Chancery, forcing his
opponent to tap out, claiming victory in
impressive fashion.
After the match, No Way Jose rushed
the ring looking for retribution against
Aries for attacking him last month.
The spirited Superstar laid into Aries,
sending him scurrying through the
NXT Universe and out of sight.
Bayley def. Nia Jax
Bayley didn’t hesitate to deliver a fiery
attack against Nia Jax. However, the
powerful Jax didn’t hesitate to respond
with a crushing offensive display. Jax
—who was drafted to Raw Tuesday
night — used her size and strength
advantage to overpower the former
NXT Women’s Champion with one
move after another.
Bayley eventually fought her way
back after Jax missed a spear and went
straight into the steel steps at ringside.
The commanding competitor would
not be kept down for long, however, as
she responded with a huge
Jackhammer on an embattled Bayley.
The explosive maneuver, shockingly,
did not keep the resourceful Bayley
down for the three-count. Jax set up
Bayley for her signature leg drop only
to decide otherwise and drag the fallen
competitor in position to hit a
maneuver, possibly her trademark leg
drop, from the second rope. Instead,
Bayley rose up to her feet, grabbed Jax
in the Bayley-to-Belly Suplex and hit
the finishing move from the second
rope for the win.

Jose Aldo: After Conor McGregor loses to Nate Diaz, I'll rematch him at UFC 205 in New York
Former Ultimate Fighting
Championship (UFC) featherweight
champion Jose Aldo is now the interim
titleholder, thanks to a convincing
unanimous decision win over Frankie
Edgar
at the UFC 200 pay-per-view (PPV)
event earlier this month in Las Vegas,
Nevada.
Now what?
Aldo has his sights set on Conor
McGregor, who stopped the Brazilian in
the first round of their title fight back
at UFC 194. But first, "Notorious" has to
settle his score against Nate Diaz -- at
welterweight -- at UFC 202 next month
in "Sin City."

Rip Rogers On Roman Reigns WWE Suspension, RAW Being Too Long, Performance Center Criticism
Today The Two-Man Power Trip of
Wrestling welcomes the very out-
spoken and often controversial,
"Hustler" Rip Rogers. No stranger to
the world of pro wrestling, Rogers
made his name as a veritable utility
performer in many territories
throughout the 1980s as he brought
the "Hustler" persona to prominence
in such places as Stampede, Memphis,
Portland and Mid-Atlantic. But it has
been his time as a trainer that has
propelled him to become a well
respected and sought after coach to
many stars both past and present and
his unique blend of motivation and
harsh critiquing of a performance have
left fans wanting to know more about
just how Rip Rogers can open up a can
of smack talk on someone in the snap
of a finger. Enjoy Episode number 193
at this link and go back and listen to

Rip Rogers On The Wellness Policy
Suspension of Roman Reigns:
"I don't know what to say. They know
they are going to get drug tested and
his spot is already secure so there isn't
any reason to do it. It's not like you are
training for the Olympics and
everybody else is on it. It is a cosmetic
thing. Just get up earlier and train
harder it is that simple. He is already
figured in and they've said no matter
how rotten you are that we are going
to go with you. But it's not his fault
because you've got to remember years
ago if you had ten years in a territory
and had a few thousand matches you
learned to work with some real tag
team specialists and had different
kinds of gimmicks. You would get to
cut a promo and see every angle of
television and now all of a sudden
they are taking (excuse me) goofs off
the street or they are "Indy" guys that
had twenty-four matches this year
and are now a veteran an they take
them and they put them in
developmental with these guys
(trainers) that have never made any
money and all of a sudden they are
idolized and that has to go to their
heads. No normal person could just be
"Joe" off the street and become a
worldwide television star. All of a

give him a bl*w job and what the f*ck
are you supposed to do? You are a
God-damn nobody that should have
been working in a factory are saying
holy sh*t I am over."
Is the Performance Center going to
hurt how the WWE produces its future
talent:
"I always say that it's the professional
wrestling business because I don't give
a f*ck about "sports entertainment"
and I've never even seen Roman
Reigns work and in fact I've only
watched one hour (of WWE) since
2002. So most of the guys I've never
seen but I've seen stuff on Twitter but
I have no idea how they work. But you
can't have a McDonald's hamburger
and have every other hamburger be
the same. You've got to have a Dick
"The Bruiser", Mad Dog Vachon or
Wahoo McDaniel or even a "Playboy"
Buddy Rose or "Superstar" Billy
Graham and you need all guys that are
different. Every match needs to be
different and needs different
psychology." Not every guy needs
music or music means nothing. Not
every guy needs cut abs or abs mean
nothing.
The WWE television shows being way
too long:
"Well they obviously don't give a sh*t
because they are selling their dolls
and their gimmicks but they've got
three hours for RAW and that is too
long for wrestling. Now, it is three
hours long because of the money that
they get from USA or whatever they
network they are on. But when you
are sitting there in the audience and
you get people who swear they are
never going to go to watch wrestling
again because they are sitting there
for six hours with pre-shows, the main
event after the show and blah blah
blah,. All of this is on a school night
and a work night and it is basically
saying to you that you will never want
to come back here again."

Eric Bischoff On If Goldberg Should Return To The Ring, Working With Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan
Recently on The Ross Report, Eric
Bischoff discussed a number of topics
including his memories of working with
The Ultimate Warrior in WCW, whether
Bischoff has kept in touch with Hulk
Hogan, and his thoughts on Bill
Goldberg's interest in returning to the
squared circle.
.
.
.
With respect to working with Warrior in
WCW, 'Easy E' recalled that Warrior was
extremely passionate about his
character.
"He was one of, if not the most
passionate person I've ever come
across when it came to his character.
His character. It doesn't mean the
[professional wrestling] business in
general. It doesn't mean working with
everybody else. It didn't mean,
necessarily, give and take. But when it
came to his vision of his character, he
lived it [and] he breathed it. Obviously,
we all know it, he lived it 24/7 and he
was so intense and so passionate, I
couldn't help but respect it.
"With that said, he was so far out there
in his approach to his character in
terms of creating it and delivering it,
not in terms of creating it, but
delivering it in camera, that he had, in
my experience, he had a challenge
when it came to timing in every way.
All anybody has to do is go back, and
I'm sure it's on the WWE Network
somewhere, but look at his debut on
WCW and what was originally
supposed to be about a 12-minute
opening, I think it was opening, what
was supposed to be a 12-minute
segment ended up being, like, 30 some
odd minutes. And I've never done a
hallucinogenic drug in my life, if I did, I
would admit to it, but I've done a lot of
other crap that I'll admit to, but I've
never done that. But I'm guessing
that's probably what it was like."
Also, Bischoff told an amusing story
about how Warrior would fax him
copious amounts of notes on creative
and business ideas.
"I would come home from a two or
three day trip or whatever. I'd be on
the road for however long and I'd come
home and I had a fax [machine] in my
house and he had my fax number. And
I'd literally come home and there'd be
like 160 pages of faxed Ultimate
Warrior storylines and cartoons and
movie premises and commercials and
endorsements and sponsorship ideas.
I'd be gone for three days and it'd take
me three days to get through his
faxes. It was crazy!"
According to the one-time WCW
Hardcore Champion, he corresponds
with Hogan on a daily basis. Bischoff
claimed that Hogan is in a very good
place from an emotional standpoint.
"We hear from each other everyday in
one way, shape, or form. He's doing
great. He [has] never been healthier
and happier emotionally and mentally
than he is right now. Ever. And I think
that part of it is what he has gone
through and how he [has] had to grow
and how he has had to look at himself
and look at the world and look at what
he wants out of it and who he really is
beyond just the character. And I think
he [has] found a true sense of self, I
guess, is the best way to say it without
sounding too enlightened. But he's
happier than I've ever heard him."
Bischoff reflected, "now, he's just solid
as a rock. He [has] got a great outlook
on life. 75% of the conversations and
communication he and I have have
nothing to do with the [professional
wrestling] business. It's just life and
how we're growing and what we're
doing. And, like I said, I've never heard
him happier.
Bischoff discussed a number of topics
including his memories of working with
The Ultimate Warrior in WCW, whether
Bischoff has kept in touch with Hulk
Hogan, and his thoughts on Bill
Goldberg's interest in returning to the
squared circle.
.
.
.
With respect to working with Warrior in
WCW, 'Easy E' recalled that Warrior was
extremely passionate about his
character.
"He was one of, if not the most
passionate person I've ever come
across when it came to his character.
His character. It doesn't mean the
[professional wrestling] business in
general. It doesn't mean working with
everybody else. It didn't mean,
necessarily, give and take. But when it
came to his vision of his character, he
lived it [and] he breathed it. Obviously,
we all know it, he lived it 24/7 and he
was so intense and so passionate, I
couldn't help but respect it.
"With that said, he was so far out there
in his approach to his character in
terms of creating it and delivering it,
not in terms of creating it, but
delivering it in camera, that he had, in
my experience, he had a challenge
when it came to timing in every way.
All anybody has to do is go back, and
I'm sure it's on the WWE Network
somewhere, but look at his debut on
WCW and what was originally
supposed to be about a 12-minute
opening, I think it was opening, what
was supposed to be a 12-minute
segment ended up being, like, 30 some
odd minutes. And I've never done a
hallucinogenic drug in my life, if I did, I
would admit to it, but I've done a lot of
other crap that I'll admit to, but I've
never done that. But I'm guessing
that's probably what it was like."
Also, Bischoff told an amusing story
about how Warrior would fax him
copious amounts of notes on creative
and business ideas.
"I would come home from a two or
three day trip or whatever. I'd be on
the road for however long and I'd come

Former ROH superstar Moose, who

Manager: Jacare on standby for Bisping bout, will ‘massacre’ Brit if 'Hendo' pulls out
After losing out on what he felt was
his rightful title shot against current
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)
middleweight champion Michael
Bisping to Dan Henderson, "Jacare" is
still preparing for a championship
fight.
That’s according to his manager
Gilberto Faria, who recently told MMA
Junkie that the Brazilian bomber is
prepared to step in as a late
replacement if needed.
"(UFC President) Dana already knows
it," Faria said in a prepared statement.
"If a replacement is needed for
Manchester, or the fans get to turn it
around, ‘Jacare’ vs. Bisping would be a
massacre.
According to Faria, Souza has plenty of
fans supporting him in his mission and
they are letting company president
Dana White know who they feel is the
rightful owner of the 185-pound title
shot.
"We are seeing a lot of fans putting
pressure on Dana and on Bisping, and
‘Jacare’ might still get the shot at
Bisping," he said.
In addition, Gilberto says "Hendo" had
no weight to earn a shot at the title
given his recent track record. But at
the end of the day, it was Bisping who
asked for (and received) the fight he
wanted.
Something the manager thought was
odd.
"The only thing that really bothers us
was Bisping being able to ask for a
fight against ‘Hendo’ and get his
wishes fulfilled," he said.
"We understand that Bisping is rolling
with 10 good years of services for the
company, but Dan Henderson still sits
at number 13 in the ranking, lost six
out of nine fights, his recent victory
was against Hector Lombard that just
came from a loss at welterweight
division, so it doesn’t weight that much
for a title shot.

Mark Hunt destroys UFC with epic rant, spearheads new movement for MMA fighter's union
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)
President Dana White really loves
heavyweight slugger Mark Hunt (his
words), and wants the aging "Super
Samoan" to stick by his side until the
end of his already-legendary mixed
martial arts (MMA) career.
That said, White -- who just coughed
up "millions" to keep him
-- may have buyer's remorse in the
aftermath of UFC 200.
That's because Hunt blew a gasket
when news broke that Brock Lesnar,
who mugged and slugged his way to a
unanimous decision win over the
former K-1 kickboxer, failed a pair of
drug tests administered by United
States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).
Hunt explodes during his conversation
with MarkHunt.tv:
"The way I see it, the Brock
Lesnar doping thing is just
another reason why we need a
fighter's association. These guys
are just making up the rules as
they go. First the Reebok thing,
then Brock's four-month testing
exemption. Conor [McGregor] gets
pulled off a card for not going to a
press conference that me or
Brock didn't go to anyway. Work
that out. There's probably a heap
of others. They say they are
cleaning up the sport, yet I've
risked my health two times
against guys cheating since this
USADA thing started. I was told
Brock was gonna be tested when I
took the fight, he comes in
looking fricken juicy as hell and
then I find out he's popped after
the PPV has already been sold.
It's ridiculous. The fact that they
haven't even bothered to make
contact with me since all of this
happened just proves they don't
care. I'm pretty sure all of this
stuff is just there to look good for
the sale if you ask me. These
guys have lined there pockets
with our blood if you ask me. I
mean they deserve to get paid no
doubt, they took the UFC from
nothing into what it is today, but
come on, most of the guys
fighting, get paid nothing and
have no benefits
. We are massive reason why fans
watch the sport and we risk our
health to do it. I'm not sure what
its like in the states, but in
Australia workers stick together
to make sure their voice is heard.
Lots of guys have talked about
this, but someone needs to make
this happen and I'm happy for it
to be me. To the fighters listening
to this I want them to get in touch
with me via my Facebook page
and we can get thing going. I
won't name anyone until we sort
it all out, but get in touch and lets
make this happen."
Hunt, who banked a career-high $
700,000 for his UFC 200 loss, tried to
warn them.
This isn't the first time a combatant
has called for some sort of union or
fighter's association, but those
conversations usually happen behind
closed doors (unless you're this guy).
I'm sure the Las Vegas Culinary Union
would love to get its grubby little
hands on Hunt's new movement,
especially now that UFC is in a state of
transition.

UFC co-founder Campbell McLaren: Why is Bellator MMA still around?
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)
co-founder Campbell McLaren got back
into the mixed martial arts (MMA)
business a few years ago with his new
baby, Combate Americas, a fight
promotion focusing on Latino fighters.
Still in its infancy, the promotion has
enjoyed some success over the last
four years, striking a deal with NBC
Universo and staging a reality TV
show. Nevertheless, Campbell recently
revealed he and several investors tried
to buy UFC for $2.8 billion, but
ultimately fell short to WME-IMG, who
coughed up $4 billion to seal the deal.
With no UFC to spearhead, Campbell
will continue to focus on Combate
Americas, as he feels his promotion is
bringing something to the table others
can't. Specifically, Bellator MMA, who
McLaren says offers no substantial
different point of view than what UFC
does.
As he tried to clear up on The MMA
Hour, there really is no reason for
Bellator to stick around if they aren't
going to bring anything new to the
fight game.
"You don't have to work very
hard not to beat up on Bellator. I
have to work at it. But why is
there a Bellator? For what
purpose? Look, there's some good
athletes over there. I was a big
Eddie Alvarez fan and I was a
Kimbo fan. But why is there a
Bellator? There is no substantial
different point of view in what
Bellator does than what the UFC
does. Scott's brought in some...
Scott, well let's call it like it is, he
is using my guys in Bellator. He's
using Shamrock, Gracie, Tito; the
biggest guys in Bellator are guys
that I started with 20 years ago."
Campbell went on to suggest that
Combate Americas is a style of
fighting, just like UFC is, insisting that
fighters on his roster are more prone
to get finished via strikes because they
prefer to let the bouts play out on the
feet, and he has numbers to prove his
promotion offers more knockouts.
And that's because he's focusing on
the Latino market, one that has ex-
boxers turning to MMA. Meanwhile,
UFC found grapplers that learned
striking. As for Bellator, well, whatever
UFC does they do, according to
Campbell.
And if you think McLaren and Co. are
limiting themselves with the talent
they can acquire by focusing on just
the Latin market, he has 65 million
reasons to prove you wrong, as that's
how many Hispanics he says are
currently living in the United States.
Plus he can go to Mexico and the
Caribbean to get more talent.
At the end of the day, Campbell says
he's looking at developing the young
talent instead of trying to squeeze
whatever is left out of the older
veterans like Bellator is.

using Shamrock, Gracie, Tito; the
biggest guys in Bellator are guys
that I started with 20 years ago."
Campbell went on to suggest that
Combate Americas is a style of
fighting, just like UFC is, insisting that
fighters on his roster are more prone
to get finished via strikes because they
prefer to let the bouts play out on the
feet, and he has numbers to prove his
promotion offers more knockouts.
And that's because he's focusing on
the Latino market, one that has ex-
boxers turning to MMA. Meanwhile,
UFC found grapplers that learned
striking. As for Bellator, well, whatever
UFC does they do, according to
Campbell.
And if you think McLaren and Co. are
limiting themselves with the talent
they can acquire by focusing on just
the Latin market, he has 65 million
reasons to prove you wrong, as that's
how many Hispanics he says are
currently living in the United States.
Plus he can go to Mexico and the
Caribbean to get more talent.
At the end of the day, Campbell says
he's looking at developing the young
talent instead of trying to squeeze
whatever is left out of the older
veterans like Bellator is.
Chad Mendes Given Two-Year Suspension For Banned Substance Use
Chad Mendes will have to sit and
watch as the UFC’s featherweight
division sorts itself out.
Mendes, a former title contender, was
given a two-year suspension due to
the use of a banned substance on
Wednesday. The Team Alpha Male
fighter can compete again in June
2018, according to a release by the
USADA.
The USADA performed an out-of-
competition test on Mendes (17-4) in
May, which found the growth-
hormone releasing peptide GHRP-17 in
his system. The California native last
fought in late 2016, losing to Frankie
Edgar via knockout.
USADA announced today that
UFC athlete Chad Mendes, of
Sacramento, Calif., has received a
two-year sanction for an anti-
doping policy violation after
testing positive for a prohibited
substance.
Mendes, 31, tested positive for
GHRP-6 (Growth Hormone-
Releasing Hexapeptide) following
an out-of-competition urine test
conducted on May 17, 2016.
GHRP-6 is a prohibited substance
in the class of Peptide Hormones,
Growth Factors, Related
Substances and Mimetics under
the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, which
has adopted the World Anti-
Doping Agency (WADA)
Prohibited List.
Growth Hormone-Releasing
Peptides are listed as Non-
Specified Substances on the
WADA Prohibited List. Under the
UFC Anti-Doping Policy, the
standard sanction for an anti-
doping policy violation involving a
Non-Specified Substance is a two-
year period of ineligibility.
Mendes’ two-year period of
ineligibility began on June 10,
2016, the date on which he
received a provisional suspension.
In addition, Mendes has been
disqualified from all competitive
results obtained on and
subsequent to May 17, 2016, the
date of sample collection,
including forfeiture of any title,
ranking, purse or other
compensation.
USADA conducts the year-round,
independent anti-doping program
for all UFC athletes. USADA is an
independent, non-profit, non-
governmental agency whose sole
mission is to preserve the
integrity of competition, inspire
true sport, and protect the rights

Who Was Originally Scheduled To Be The Top WWE Draft Pick, Where Other Top Stars Stood
Following the media publicity that
Brock Lesnar generated for his UFC 200
victory over Mark Hunt, WWE had
planned for Brock Lesnar to the the
first draft pick for RAW, according to
Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling
Observer. He noted that while it's not
definite that it was always the plan, it
was the plan last week.
As noted, the UFC revealed this past
Friday that USADA flagged Brock
Lesnar for a potential Anti-Doping
Policy violation from an out-of-
competition sample collection taken
on June 28th. It was announced
yesterday that Lesnar also failed an
in-competition drug test
. Lance Pugmire of the LA Times
reported that Lesnar tested positive in
both tests for Clomiphene, which is an
estrogen blocker.

7/20 WWE Cruiserweight Classic Review: Lince Dorado and Mustafa Ali was easily the match of the night
Week two of the Crusierweight Classic
comes to a close in another really
great night of wrestling action. I can’t
rave enough about Mauro and Bryan
on commentary either. Those two
work so well together and it is nice to
hear commentators that actually do
research on guys they are calling
matches for. Even when DB screws up
(like when he called a “dab” another
goofy dance move name) he manages
to play it off by making fun of himself
as being a nerd. He really impressed
me when talking about Kenneth
Johnson and talking about how he
overcame the speech impediment and
how that shows how much work ethic
he has. Just great stuff from those
two.
I think all of the matches were pretty
good for the most part but I don’t think
either of them was as good as Ibushi’s
match last week. Tajiri-Slater was
pretty good and was really hard hitting
but Tajiri has pretty obviously slowed
down enormously in recent years. The
Tajiri-Gran Metalik match will give us
some nice Tajiri-Super Crazy
flashbacks but I highly doubt it will be
able to live up to that.
Perkins looked great in his match but I
didn’t care for Da Mack at all. I don’t
like the dancer gimmicks as it just
makes the guy look goofy as hell.
Especially in a tournament like this
which is being presented as much
more realistic and like a MMA
tournament.
Lince Dorado and Mustafa Ali was
easily the best match of the night and
it was a high flying wrestling fans wet
dream. Both guys just flew all over the
place and I was so impressed with
Mustafa. I had since Lince several
times in person, and even more times
on DVD/video, so I knew what he could
bring to the table but I had never seen
Mustafa Ali before. He was incredible
himself and when you have two high
flyers like that in the ring together it is
seriously like poetry in the ring. I loved
every minute of it.
I think Kenneth Johnson has a good
story and obviously stories like that
Daniel Bryan is going to grab onto
because he was an underdog himself,
but he was pretty sloppy and just not
in the same league as Tozawa and it
was very glaring. They tried to do a
match where Johnson could go hold
for hold with Tozawa but it just came
off as Tozawa looking like he was
having an off night or something.
Johnson’s missed Phoenix Splash was
awful as he would have missed
Tozawa by about three feet at Tozawa
not even moved, but Tozawa’s
suplexes were a thing of beauty. When
he gets a chance to get in the ring with
other guys in this tournament he
should be better.
